Camille Chi
Ceramic Art
Paris, France
Camille Chi is a contemporary ceramic artist whose practice explores balance, proportion and the quiet expressive potential of hand-built form. Working primarily with stoneware, she creates one-of-one vessels and sculptural objects defined by soft geometry, tactile surfaces and restrained silhouettes. Rather than seeking perfect symmetry, Camille allows each form to retain subtle irregularities and visible traces of the making process. Her surfaces are developed through layered mineral finishes, muted tonal variations and careful firing, giving each object a distinct material presence. The resulting pieces sit between function and sculpture, combining contemporary minimalism with a strong sense of craftsmanship and material honesty. Camille’s work is shaped by an interest in calm interiors, architecture and everyday ritual, creating objects intended to bring a quiet, considered presence into the spaces they inhabit.
